My projects

ITDS Project

At ITDS, I act as a strategic bridge between American tech companies and our internal IT talent pool, ensuring alignment between complex project needs and the specialized profiles we offer. I work closely with stakeholders on both sides to translate business and technical requirements into tailored staffing solutions.

My focus is on facilitating high-level placements in areas such as:

  • Cloud Engineering

  • Cybersecurity

  • Data Architecture

  • Enterprise Technology Services

By understanding the unique demands of each client and the capabilities of our talent network, I enable seamless collaboration, quick response times, and long-term value creation. My role is not recruitment—it's strategic facilitation of partnerships between high-profile IT experts and companies driving innovation across the U.S. tech sector.

This position enhances my expertise in global IT operations, client relationship management, and cross-cultural communication within the tech staffing ecosystem.

FORTIC PROJECT

I am currently leading a research project focused on cultural sustainability and heritage valorization of Austro-Hungarian fortifications. This study explores how these historical military sites—often underutilized or at risk—can be reimagined through digital innovation and integrated into cultural, educational, and tourism strategies.

The project emphasizes the development of digital products, including interactive maps, virtual tours, and data-driven storytelling tools, to enhance public engagement and accessibility. These tools aim to bridge the gap between heritage conservation and modern user experience, making historical narratives relevant and engaging for new generations.

In addition to archival research and field assessments, we are engaging with local communities and cross-border stakeholders to build a sustainable preservation framework, rooted in adaptive reuse, identity-building, and digital outreach.

This initiative combines interdisciplinary research with product design thinking, reinforcing my commitment to digital cultural sustainability and innovation in heritage management.

Apple Maps & Pinmeto

In the geolocation and mobility sector, I held key roles supporting mapping technology and data-driven mobility services across Southern Europe, working with Apple Maps and Bankflip.

At Apple Maps, I served as a Data Operations Specialist within the Traffic Road Operations team, managing datasets related to public transportation routes, stations, and real-time traffic conditions. My work contributed to improving navigation accuracy and mobility infrastructure across multiple urban centers.

At Bankflip, I worked as an Account Executive, representing a data aggregation platform that integrated mapping services and GPS data for enterprise clients in Portugal and Spain. I engaged directly with clients from a wide range of industry sectors—including logistics, fintech, retail, and public services—across multiple locations in the region.

This experience sharpened my expertise in geospatial data strategy, client relationship management, and the integration of mobility intelligence into diverse business and operational contexts.

Bankflip & LSEG

In the Fintech and financial crime space, I collaborated with two key industry players—London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Bankflip—working across data intelligence, compliance, and financial research.

At LSEG, I supported the World-Check risk intelligence platform, focusing on data collection and diagnostic analysis related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML). My work involved identifying and evaluating PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons) linked to terrorist networks and financial crimes, helping enhance due diligence and compliance accuracy.

With Bankflip, I represented the company in research and operational outreach for its financial data scraping tool, designed for B2B credit brokers and banks. The role focused on aligning data solutions with regulatory needs and improving access to real-time financial profiling for decision-makers.

This experience deepened my expertise at the intersection of regtech, data analytics, and financial compliance, contributing to safer, more transparent financial ecosystems.

CITUR Project

As part of the CITUR initiative, I was challenged to lead a research project focused on sustainability practices in the tourism industry, with a particular emphasis on cultural dimensions. Collaborating with two senior researchers as mentors, we explored how event tourism can foster cultural preservation and sustainable development.

Our study centered on Viking-themed festivals in the Euro-region of Galicia and Northern Portugal, examining their role in reinforcing regional identity while promoting responsible tourism. The outcome was a cultural sustainability framework tailored to the dynamics of event tourism, balancing economic impact with heritage conservation.

Key Achievements:

  • Published the first academic paper on cultural sustainability in tourism events within this context

  • Over 600 views, 1 recommendation, and named Most Read Article on ResearchGate in December 2024

This project not only contributed valuable insights to the field but also demonstrated the importance of research-led approaches in shaping sustainable tourism strategies for culturally sensitive destinations.

DEMOLA PROJECT

As part of a Demola project, I led the development of a digital transformation framework and action plan for a souvenir retailer hit hard by the Covid-19 crisis. The goal: help the business transition into the digital economy and reconnect with evolving customer behaviours.

Working in a team of five—including a software engineer, tourism consultant, cultural specialist, and the business owner—we co-created a strategy using Miro focused on:

  • Market Research to understand new tourism and consumer trends

  • Product Alignment with digital-era expectations and cultural value

  • Promotional Planning to optimize web presence and visibility

Results achieved in first 3 months:

  • +120% increase in website traffic

  • 30% online conversion rate via web traffic.

  • Optimise product production ( from 24 products in 7 key product lines)

  • 3 new wholesale partnerships secured

This project highlighted the value of agile, cross-functional collaboration and product-driven research in enabling business recovery and digital growth.
